It does have some limitations (i.e., won't migrate some partition types). ![]() But, they've since developed their own migration software (that you can download and use at no charge to migrate a Windows installation, as long as the target SSD is a Samsung 470, 830, 840 or 840 Pro Model. Samsung offered kits bundled with Norton Ghost at one time. Note that I'd avoid the standard Samsung 840, as it's using a new type of memory cell, whereas the older Samsung 830 and new 840 Pro use MLC (which will give you faster write speeds, and dramatically more program/erase cycles than you get with the cheaper TLC memory cells that Samsung went with in the new standard (versus Pro) 840 SSD models. I've got a couple of the Samsung 830 series models now. ![]() Samsung 840 Pro, huh? Yep, that's a super choice, and what I'd buy if getting a new SSD.
